I like to highlight a particular acquisition each month that might be of particular interest to the community. "Parelli's natural horse-man-ship program. Level 1, Partnership" is a multi-DVD program that explores the human-animal communication necessary in successful horsemanship. This is a quite expensive set that the library acquired very reasonably thanks to the generosity and library-centric leanings of our patrons. It is now available for all the horse lovers to enjoy. This might be a good Pony Club film series to show in the library community room. This program is shelved in the DVD non-fiction section, under "DVD 636.1 PAR" - Are there other learning programs you feel an island organization might benefit from? Let me know. I'm happy to take suggestions at 
MonoMouse is an easy to use elelctronic magnifier that allows people with poor vision to read text easily. The MonoMouse simply plugs into the back of your television, and any text that is placed under the mouse is enlarged on the TV screen. You can now easily read books, newspapers, magazines, even prescription bottles.
